Encounters with Nature is a website dedicated to expressing
the beauty of nature through the eyes of an outdoor photographer. Bill Draker
and his wife, Sharon, have traveled throughout North America seeking out
wildlife and picturesque places to photograph. Even though images of critters
and beautiful places from North America appear on this website, they do most of
their photography in and around South Texas including, but not limited to,
birds, mammals, reptiles, insects and other diverse subjects.
This is my photography blog (Hill Country Photos) which
contains my personal work (mostly landscape images), client images (mostly
portraits), handouts for HCCC presentations I have done, Photoshop and
photography tutorials that I have written, and a Photoshop/photography Q&A
section where people can submit questions. Thanks, Vicki
Thank you for viewing my photography. I have been fortunate to have the
opportunity to travel to many beautiful places in my lifetime. I have attempted
to capture the beauty of these places and the Texas Hill Country Region(where I
call home) through my photography, and I am pleased to offer the photographs
here for viewing and sale.
"Ron's unusual and interesting treatment in presenting his photographs is
definitely worth a look" - Vince Rifici
Horses, horses, horses; I've
loved them my whole life. From showing saddleseat as a child, to Hunters
and Jumpers at the University of Kentucky and introducing huntseat to
the western riders of Wyoming, I have thoroughly enjoyed the world of
horses. Bringing together my knowledge of horses and photography allows
me to capture the relationship of the horse and rider.
His work covers a broad range of subjects, from
beautiful to humorous, from disintegrating architecture (Urbanex), to cicada
shells emerging out of clarinets. Jake wanders in alleyways and lesser-known
parts of small towns to capture scenes that somehow convey a larger meaning.
Being self taught, Jake’s themes sometimes display a love of minimalism,
abstract, and other times for color, realism, or humor and reflect an innate
love of photojournalism and still life.
As far back as I can remember I've been moth like and
drawn to light. It could be a sun rise, sun set, or rainbows caused by refracted
light. These are just a few types of light that catch my eye. After many years
of raising a family, serving my country and starting a life after the military;
I've moved on to using a digital camera to gather the light that has intrigued
me for so long.
Her work has been published, used for
corporations, books, advertising agencies, college displays, public displays,
and local business. Kathy's signed art prints have been sold to individual
collectors across the USA.
